(Lake Park)– A Reading, Minnesota man was injured today (Mon.) when a car he was driving collided with a semi trailer near Lake Park.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says the mishap took place around 12:15 p.m. at the intersection of Highway nine and county road M-27 just south of Lake Park.
Authorities say Mike Larson of Reading, Minnesota was driving a 1998 Hyundai northbound on county road M-27 when he failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with the trailer of an eastbound semi on highway nine driven by Ralph Stork of Mitchell, South Dakota.
The impact caused the vehicle Larson was driving to spin into a light pole on the southeast corner of the intersection, ejecting him. Larson was transported by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with multiple injuries. No injuries were reported to Stork.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Lake Park Police Department, Lake Park Rescue and Spirit Lake Ambulance.
