SW Men Charged In Gun Shop Burglary Also Suspects In Bank Robbery

(Sioux City)– Two southwest Minnesota men who face federal charges in connection with a burglary at a western Iowa gun shop are also suspects in the robbery of a local bank.

Special agent Steve Warfield of the Minneapolis office of the FBI says 22-year-old Felix Mendez and 19-year-old Jose Osoria-Mendez of Worthington, Minnesota were arrested July 2nd after a bank robbery in Rushmore, Minnesota, near Worthington.

The two men have also been charged with theft of firearms. They allegedly broke into a gun shop in Vail, Iowa in May and took pistols and rifles.

The guns were found July 20th in a spillway near Worthington.
