(Sheldon)– A suspicious person complaint has resulted in the arrest of two Sheldon residents on drug charges.
The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says it received a complaint around 8:15 this (Fri.) morning about some suspicious activity in a field north of Sheldon. Upon arrival, authorities say they found two occupants in a vehicle along with a small amount of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of what was believed to be ecstasy.
18-year-old Sara Dawn Vogel and 22-year-old Andrew Jon Schuler both of Sheldon were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia…both are simple misdemeanors. Bond was set at 2,275-dollars each. The two are scheduled to appear in O’Brien County District Court at a later date.
The Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol are investigating.
Authorities say additional charges are pending and additional arrests are expected.
