Supervisors Vote 3-1 In Favor Of Creating Computer Tech Position

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors voted three-to-one Tuesday to approve a County Computer Technician position, with a salary ranging from between 30-thousand and 34-thousand dollars a year.

Supervisor Chairman David Gottsche cast the dissenting vote, saying he wants to see a comparison on the amount of money the county spent with a Milford firm over the past year to perform those duties.

In addition to overseeing the county’s computer systems and network, the Computer Tech would also oversee a new high-tech phone system to be installed in the new courthouse.
