Supervisors Select Chair/Vice Chair For 2004

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Monday elected a chairman and vice-chairman for the upcoming year. It didn’t come without some discussion, though.

Ordinarily, the vice-chairman would become chairman. Paul Johnson, who served as vice-chairman this past year, declined to assume the chairmanship, saying it would be awkward as he would be making recommendations concerning the courthouse project, which he is spearheading for the board.

Mardi Allen suggested Pam Jordan be elected chair, but she declined.

A motion was then made by Allen to elect David Gottsche as Chairman for a second year, with Pam Jordan as vice-chair. That motion was passed unanimously.
