Superintendents Say AEA Merger Talks Are Still In Very Early Stages

November 23, 2014

(Undated)– Area superintendents are taking a wait and see attitude on talks of a possible merger between area education agencies based out of Cylinder and Fort Dodge.

Local superintendents contacted by KUOO news said the talks are still in the very early stages…contrary to what was portrayed in a recent newspaper article. The superintendents say they need to know additional details before they’d be willing to support or oppose a merger between the Lakeland and Arrowhead Area Education Agencies.

A joint meeting of the board of directors of the two AEA’s to talk some more about the proposed merger will be held September 19th in Pocahontas.
