(Spirit Lake)– Cleanup is underway following a round of severe thunderstorms that ripped through the area late this (Fri.)afternoon.
Wind gusts to 70 miles-per-hour were reported in portions of Spirit Lake as the storms ripped through around 5:00 p.m. Pea to marble size hail also pelted the area, knocking leaves from trees and damaging some crops.
Numerous large trees were uprooted and there were many reports of power outages.
Trees and power lines are also down in Lake Park.
