(Des Moines)– State Representative Greg Stevens of Milford was elected as an Assistant Minority Leader in the Iowa House of Representatives today (Thursday).
Stevens tells KUOO news he had actively worked for the post over the past week or so. He says he was somewhat surprised when he learned he had been elected to the post because his message was somewhat different…calling for fiscal discipline and working with everyone on both sides of the aisle. Stevens says he wasn’t sure how that would sit with other party members.
Stevens will be one of four Assistant Minority Leaders in the House.
He was elected to his third term in the Iowa House November fifth.
