(Milford)– State Representative Greg Stevens of Milford has been appointed to the Small Business Development Center Advisory Board.
Stevens says he was asked to serve on the board by Kelly McCarty of Spencer…Director of the Iowa Lakes Community College Small Business Development Center.
Stevens says his role is to assist the board with legislative issues pertaining to economic development.
The Small Business Development Center provides free counseling and low-cost training to Iowa’s entrepeneurs from 13 regional centers throughout the state. Clay and Dickinson counties are served by the Iowa Lakes SBDC.
Stevens encourages any small businesses in the region needing assistance to contact the Iowa Lakes SBDC.
Stevens, who also serves on the House Economic Growth Committee, says he learned of his appointment on Monday.
