(Arnolds Park)– The city of Arnolds Park has the go-ahead from a state board to proceed with the voluntary annexation of an area known as “Woodlyn Acres” just southeast of the current city limits.
Following a public hearing, the City Development Board voted unanimously last evening to approve the annexation.
The city has received requests from some residents in that area for water. But it won’t extend water lines to areas that aren’t part of the city.
While some were in favor being annexed, others weren’t.
Any resident of the affected area that’s opposed to the Development Board’s action can file an appeal in district court. Atleast one opponent said he intends to do that.
