(Spirit Lake)– The State Auditor’s Office has released it’s annual report on Dickinson county’s finances.
It shows the county had local tax revenue of 27.8 million dollars for the year ended June 30th, 2003, which included nearly 743-thousand dollars in tax credits from the state. 23.2 million of the local tax revenue was distributed to townships, school districts, cities and other taxing bodies in the county. 4.6 million was retained for county operations…an eight percent increase from the prior year.
The county’s expenditures totalled 9.1 million…a less than one percent increase from the prior year.
