(Spirit Lake)– Halloween in Spirit Lake will be observed Thursday, October 31st.
It was the concensus of the city council Tuesday to keep the observance on that date. The city had received a few requests to change it, because the 31st falls on a Thursday, which is church night.
Councilman and former Police Chief Duane Yager said the city had considered moving Halloween to other nights in the past, but decided against that, because all it does is spread out the activities to two nights instead of one.
