Spirit Lake Man Injured In Motorcycle Accident

(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake man was injured Friday evening when he lost control of a motorcycle he was driving.

Police say 58-year-old William Palmer was southbound on Hill Avenue at eighth street when he lost control of a 1992 Harley Davidson. The bike struck the center median, ejecting Palmer. He was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with multiple injuries.

The motorcycle was totaled.

Authorities say the mishap remains under investigation.

It took place around 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Spirit Lake Police were assisted by the First Responders and Lakes Regional Healthcare Ambulance.
