Spirit Lake Ampride Store To Change Hands

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– A Spirit Lake convenience store is changing hands.

KUOO news has learned the Ampride convenience store at the corner of Memphis Avenue and Highways nine and 71 has been sold to Casey’s General Stores.

Neither New Ag Horizons Incorporated, parent company of the Farmer’s Co-op Association based out of Jackson, Minnesota, which owns the Spirit Lake Ampride, nor Casey’s, are commenting.

A letter sent by New Ag Horizons to businesses and individuals that have gasoline accounts at Ampride states that the sale of the Spirit Lake Ampride store is effective October first.

Plans call for the existing Ampride store to be remodeled into a Casey’s with the existing Casey’s General Store at the corner of Highways nine and 71 and Gary Avenue relocating to the remodeled store.
