(Spirit Lake)– Two people were injured late Monday in a two-vehicle accident at the corner of Highways nine and 71 and Lincoln Avenue in Spirit Lake.
Police say 74-year-old Maynard Holtz of Wahpeton was traveling north on Lincoln and 31-year-old Cynthia Mart of Estherville was eastbound on Highways nine and 71 when the two collided. Holtz and Mart were taken by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital.
13-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a Chevy Venture mini-van driven by Holtz with 15-thousand dollars in damage estimated to a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Mart.
Holtz was charged with failure to yield.
The mishap took place around 5:15 p.m.
