(Spencer)– Patrons of the Spencer school district are invited to a community meeting this Tuesday (01/13) to help plan the future of the district.
Superintendent Glen Lohman says the board has been developing a long range facility plan over the past two years, and is seeking some public input.
Among the issues to be addressed, Lohman says, is a new middle school.
Lohman says Iowa State University has also been requested to conduct a survey and facilitate some focus groups and community meetings on the issue.
Lohman says they hope to have a broad cross-section of the community represented at Tuesday’s meeting.
It starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Spencer Schools Central Administrative Building on East seventh Street.
Those attending should bring a brown-bag lunch. Cookies and coffee will be provided.
