Spencer School Board To Adopt Levy Language

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Voters in the Spencer School District will be asked to approve an Instructional Support Levy during a special election this spring.

Assistant Superintendent Kathy Elliot says the school board has decided to ask residents to consider a five-year Instructional Support Levy in a special election March 8th.

If approved, the levy would be set at four percent. Each year the board would decide if the levy would be applied to income tax, property tax or a combination of the two.

The Spencer school board will adopt the ballot language for the measure during a special meeting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Board Room at the Central Office.
