(Spencer)– The Principal at Lincoln Elementary School in Spencer says he’ll be resigning effective with the end of the current school year.
Steve Meinen says he’s accepted a similar position with the Muscatine school district.
Meinen says he thoroughly enjoyed his six years at Spencer, calling it a wonderful experience.
Meinen is a native of Fairfield, Iowa. He says the move will allow him to be closer to family.
Meinen’s resignation is effective June 13th. The Spencer school board has already started a search for his replacement.
