(Spencer)– Officials with Spencer Municipal Utilities are asking customers to refrain from watering yards and gardens and washing vehicles the next few days.
Information Director Curtis Dean tells KUOO SMU is having problems with a pump on one of its wells. He says it could be sometime Monday before things get back to normal. Dean says the request for customers to refrain from outside water use is in effect until that time.
Dean says they’ve been able to keep up with demand so far, but he says that could change if there’s a sudden surge in usage.
The notice does NOT pertain to those who use private wells or other sources of water.
