Spencer Man Sentenced For Trying To Manufacture Meth Near School

November 22, 2014

(Sioux City)– A Spencer man has been sentenced in federal court for trying to manufacture methamphetamine near a school.

22-year-old Jason Marlow was sentenced Tuesday to more than nine years in federal prison.

Marlow pled guilty previously to conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine, using a person under the age of 18 within a thousand feet of the Spencer Middle School.

During his plea hearing, Marlow admitted he and others tried to manufacture methamphetamine in the basement of a Spencer home, using items that had been stolen locally.
