Spencer Man Pleads Guilty To Federal Meth & Ammunition Charges

(Sioux City)– A Spencer man has pleaded guilty in U-S District Court to meth and ammunition charges.

At a plea hearing, 38-year-old Todd Ray Williams admitted to his involvement in a conspiracy to manufacture and distribute 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine and possessing ammunition having been convicted of domestic abuse.

A sentencing date will be set after a pre-sentence report is completed.

On the drug charge Williams faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in jail and a maximum of life without the possibility of parole along with a four million dollar fine and atleast five years up to life supervised release following any imprisonment. On the ammunition charge he faces up to 10 years imprisonment, a fine of up to 250-thousand dollars and a term of supervised release of no more than three years.
