(Milford)– A Spencer man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle rollover this (Wed.) morning on Highway 71 south of Milford.
The Iowa State Patrol says 26-year-old Jon Cody of Spencer was northbound just north of the intersection with county road A-43 when he lost control of a Ford pickup. Cody attempted to regain control, but his rear tires slipped on the wet and snow-covered road. The pickup slid into the east ditch, struck an embankment on the opposite side of the ditch and rolled…coming to rest in a field.
Cody was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with minor injuries to his left hand, face and back.
15-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the pickup.
The mishap took place around 7:45 a.m.
No charges were filed. Snow was falling at the time.
