Spencer Man Injured In Motorcycle/Car Collision

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A Spencer man is recovering from injuries he suffered after being hit while riding his motorcycle in Spencer Tuesday evening.

Spencer police say 26-year-old Dustin Quinn was injured in the collision around 8:00 p.m. at the intersection of 12th and Grand in downtown Spencer.

Quinn was heading south in the inside lane of Grand Avenue on a 2003 Suzuki motorcycle, when a southbound 1996 Chrysler driven by Fern Hargens of Spencer attempted to make an improper left hand turn from the outside lane of Grand Avenue. Hargens struck the motorcycle, causing Quinn to lose control of the bike and fall into the south median.

Quinn was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with unknown injuries.

Hargens was cited for turning from an improper lane.
