(Spencer)– A Spencer man in jail on multiple counts of sex abuse is now facing additional charges.
22-year-old Bob Beckman was initially arrested in mid-August on two counts of third degree sex abuse for allegedly abusing a 16-year-old male. Beckman made the news again when he was released from prison in early September on a two-day furlough to help his wife move and they tried to flee over the Canadian border.
Now, Spencer police have charged Beckman with three additional charges of third degree sexual abuse in connection with a follow-up investigation. Each count is a class “C” felony.
Beckman is in the Clay county jail on 49-thousand dollars bond.
