(Spencer)– A Spencer man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into several vehicles on East 13th Street early Monday.
Spencer police received a call around 4:30 a.m. from a resident in the 500 block of East 13th Street who had seen someone get into their neighbor’s vehicle. Officers responded to the area with a description of the suspect. Police located the suspect, 19-year-old Christopher Allen Meyer of Spencer, a short time later and found him with several stolen items. Also, a check of the area revealed several vehicles had been entered. Officers were able to match items taken from four vehicles to property in Meyer’s possession.
Meyer was charged with four counts of third degree burglary. He was booked into the Clay county jail on 10-thousand dollars bond.
