(Spencer)– Spencer Hospital has received accreditation for its sleep medicine and neuro diagnostics programs through the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare.
Officials say with the accreditation, Spencer Hospital’s Center for Sleep Medicine and Neuro Diagnostics becomes the only Accreditation Commission for Healthcare accredited sleep disorder center in the region.
To achieve accreditation, the center was required to complete a detailed on-site review of the facility and staff by two reviewers from the Accreditation Commission for Healthcare. All elements of the hospital’s center for sleep medicine and neuro diagnostics program were evaluated for compliance to the accrediting organization’s standards which are designed to promote quality in sleep and neuro-diagnostic testing services, and to ensure that the needs of patients and referring physicians are met.
Spencer Hospital’s Center for Sleep Medicine and Neuro Diagnostics is able to treat a wide variety of conditions, including insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and sleep apnea…among others.
The center also works with physicians who refer children for the testing of sleep-related symptoms.
