(Spencer)– No injuries were reported from a fire that broke out at a Spencer business Wednesday night.
Spencer Fire Chief Doug Duncan says crews were called to Spencer Auto Sales at 3601 4th Avenue West around 6:15 p.m.
Upon arrival, Duncan says smoke could be seen coming from the office area. He says crews were able to quickly extinguish the blaze.
No one was in the building, which sustained moderate to heavy smoke damage in the office area. Damage was estimated at between five-thousand and 10-thousand dollars.
Duncan says a faulty extension cord is the probable cause of the fire.
Firefighters were on the scene about an hour and-a-half.
