(Arnolds Park)– Arnolds Park residents will head to the polls July 9th to fill a vacancy on the city council.
The council set the date at a special meeting earlier this week.
Karen Riskedahl recently resigned with about two years left on her term. She’s accepted a promotion in her job, requiring her to travel more.
The council in the past has attempted to fill vacancies by appointing someone, but were presented with petitions calling for special elections instead.
