(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop Sunday evening in Spirit Lake has resulted in the arrest of a Worthington, Minnesota man on drug charges.
Police say they pulled a vehicle over for traffic violations shortly before 9:00 p.m. at the corner of Highways nine and 71 and Ithaca Avenue. A subsequent investigation led to the discovery of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Fredy Morales of Worthington, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
Morales was transported to the Dickinson county jail where he’s being held pending an initial appearance before a judge.
