SL Traffic Stop Lands Sherburn Man In Jail On Drug Charges

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– A traffic stop earlier this week in Spirit Lake resulted in the arrest of a Sherburn, Minnesota man on drug charges.

Police say they pulled over a vehicle at the corner of Gary Avenue and 14th Street around 9:19 p.m. Wednesday. The driver, 25-year-old Nicholas Pavich of Sherburn, was wanted for a traffic violation.

A subsequent investigation led to the discovery of a green leafy-like plant material believed to be marijuana and drugs that require a prescription to possess.

Pavich was charged with possession of a controlled substance-marijuana and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

He was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
