(Spirit Lake)– Contract talks get underway next week between negotiators for the Spirit Lake school board and the Spirit Lake Education Association, which represents the district’s teachers.
Representatives of the two sides will meet at 3:45 p.m. Monday in the board room of the district’s administrative offices in Spirit Lake. They’ll be presented with the teacher union’s initial proposal, and a time will be set for the board to respond with its initial proposal.
The first two sessions of negotiations when initial proposals are presented are open to the public.
