SL Police Make Arrests In Early Morning Burglaries

(Spirit Lake)– An Armstrong man has been charged in connection with a burglary early Sunday at Valley View Apartments in Spirit Lake.

Police say they were called to the scene around 12:30 a.m. Upon arriving, authorities say an investigation led to the arrest of 47-year-old Jose Camacho of Armstrong.

Camacho was charged with burglary in the second degree…a class “C” felony; and assault while participating in a felony…a class “D” felony. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail on 15-thousand dollars bond.

In an unrelated incident, a Fairmont, Minnesota was charged in connection with another burglary that took place early Sunday.

Spirit Lake police say they were called shortly before 2:00 a.m. to a residence in the 900 block of 10th Street for a reported burglary. Prior to arriving a male subject had fled the scene on foot. Officers were able to get a good description of the subject. With the assistance of the department’s K-9 Unit–Rambo, along with the Okoboji Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office, a search of the area was conducted and a male suspect was apprehended. He’s identified as 18-year-old Noe Trevino of Fairmont. Trevino was arrested and charged with burglary in the second degree. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail on 10-thousand dollars bond.
