(Sioux City)– A Spirit Lake man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine within a thousand feet of the Hartley City Park; distribution of pseudoephedrine and distribution of a controlled substance to a person under 21.
In a plea agreement, 35-year-old Scott Cook of Spirit Lake admitted that between about 2002 through June 10th, 2004 he and others manufactured and distributed atleast 50 grams or more of pure methamphetamine and atleast 50 grams of mixed methamphetamine.
Cook must also serve a 10-year term of supervised release after the prison term.
