(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake East Entryway Project has received special recognition at the 41st Annual Concrete Paving Workshop held earlier this week.
Highlighting the event was the presentation of the 2004 Portland Cement Concrete Paving Awards. 70 projects were nominated in a number of categories. They were rated on smoothness, quality control, general appearance and workmanship, contractor management, safety and complexity.
The city of Spirit Lake’s East Entryway Project was the winner for 2004 in the Recreational Trails category.
Cedar Valley Corporation of Waterloo was the general contractor on the project, which was overseen for the city by Beck Engineering of Spirit Lake.
