(Spirit Lake)– The Spirit Lake City Council Tuesday unanimously approved a proposal to vacate Ithaca Avenue between Highways nine and 71 and 19th Street.
The action followed a public hearing that drew no comments.
The vacated street will be conveyed to the county, which needs the additional land to accomodate the new courthouse.
The street won’t actually be vacated until July 6th, when the courthouse project is expected to get underway.
