(Spirit Lake)– Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident today (Mon.) in Spirit Lake.
Police say vehicles driven by 84-year-old Kenneth Roberts of Jackson and 21-year-old Adam Cain of Dickens collided at the intersection of Highway 71 and 22nd street.
Two passengers in the vehicle driven by Cain, Carrie Cain and Tristen Cain, both of Spencer, were transported by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital with what was believed to be minor injuries.
1,800-dollars in damage was estimated to a 1999 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Roberts. A 1990 Chrysler New Yorker driven by Cain sustained an estimated three thousand dollars in damage.
Roberts was charged with failure to yield while making a left-hand turn.
The mishap took place around 11:40 this morning.
The Spirit Lake Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Dickinson County Sheriff’s office, Spirit Lake First Responders and the Spirit Lake Ambulance.
