(Dickens)– A Sioux Rapids man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle roll-over Friday just north of Dickens.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the mishap took place around 11:30 p.m. on county road B-17 about five miles north of Dickens.
Authorities say 19-year-old Gordon Fossum the third of Sioux Rapids was westbound on B-17 when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle, a 1999 Monte Carlo, left the road and slid sideways until it hit a driveway. The vehicle then became airborne and rolled several times before landing on its top.
Fossum sustained only minor injuries.
He was cited for failure to maintain control and not having a driver’s license.
