(Lake Park)– A Sioux Falls man was seriously injured Sunday in a motorcycle accident near Lake Park.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 42-year-old Mark Gregg of Sioux Falls was eastbound on Highway nine and was attempting to pass another vehicle when the motorcycle he was driving started to wobble. Authorities say a strong side wind pushed the bike off the road…causing it to flip…throwing Gregg off.
Gregg was taken by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. He was transferred by Life Flight Helicopter to a Sioux Falls hospital. Information on his condition wasn’t immediately available.
Damage to the motorcycle was estimated at five thousand dollars.
The mishap took place shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Highway nine about two and-a-quarter miles east of Lake Park.
