(Storm Lake)– A Sioux City man faces charges in connection with a threatening phone call received at a Storm Lake business.
Police say the Storm Lake Renal Center received a threatening call in April. The caller left a taped message stating there would be a lot of organs to donate if an aircraft went down. There was other information on the tape, and state and federal authorities were contacted.
Following an investigation, Storm Lake police determined the message was left by the estranged husband of one of the employees at the business and no specific threat existed toward an aircraft.
On Sunday, Storm Lake police issued warrants charging 49-year-old Jerome Reicks, Junior of Sioux City with third-degree harassment and violation of a no-contact order.
Wednesday, Sioux City police located and arrested Reicks, who’s being held in the Woodbury county jail without bond pending his return to Buena Vista county.
