Sibley Man Sentenced On Meth/Interference Charges

(Sibley)– Sentencing was held recently in Osceola County District Court for a Sibley man who pled guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine…a serious misdemeanor.

18-year-old Travis Lee Montgomery was sentenced to 30 days in jail, which was suspended. He was ordered to pay a 500-dollar fine along with surcharges of 275-dollars. Montgomery was placed on informal probation for two years.

The charge stems from a search conducted on February 11th of this year by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Montgomery was also convicted of interference with official acts…a simple misdemeanor. He was ordered to pay a 100-dollar fine and a 30-dollar surcharge.
