November 22, 2014

(Sibley)– A Sibley man has been charged for allegedly shooting a Sheldon man with a B-B gun.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report from a Sheldon man stating he had been shot in the lower lip with a B-B gun in an incident alleged to have taken place Thursday at 1020 Fourth Avenue in Sibley.

Upon further investigation, authorities arrested 19-year-old Rick Benz of Sibley in connection with the alleged incident. He was charged with assault…a simple misdemeanor. Benz was booked into the Osceola county jail and was released after posting bond of 325-dollars.
