(Everly)– Another teen has been charged in the intentional shooting of a Milford youth.
Dickinson County Sheriff Greg Baloun says a 17-year-old male juvenile from Everly was arrested today (Wed.) at Clay Central-Everly High School. His name isn’t being released. Baloun says the juvenile has been charged with willful injury causing serious injury, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and going armed with intent. He’s accused of shooting the Milford youth in the eye and abdomen.
The juvenile was transported to the Youth Emergency Services (YES) Center in cherokee. Bond was set at 25-thousand dollars.
Another person charged in the case, 18-year-old Kevin Lee Carillo of Spencer, was charged with intimidation with a dangerous weapon. He’s accused of shooting the victim in the leg. Carillo was booked into the Dickinson county jail on 10-thousand dollars bond.
Baloun says the case remains under investigation and isn’t ruling out the possibility of more arrests.
Baloun says the youth, who was shot three times with an air rifle during an underage beer party this past weekend near Everly, remains hospitalized in Sioux Falls.
