Second Phase Of Corridor Labor Study Gets Underway

November 23, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– The second phase of a study of the area’s labor availability is about to get underway.

Ann Ditsworth, Associate Director of the Iowa Great Lakes Corridor of Opportunity, says the laborshed study is being conducted in cooperation with Iowa Workforce Development. She says this phase will examine the needs and desires of employed workers, along with those who are not currently employed or want to re-enter the workforce.

Ditsworth says the telephone survey takes about 10 minutes to complete. She says the calls will start this Friday. They’ll be targeting randomly selected residents between the ages of 19 and 64. Information will be kept confidential.

Ditsworth says they hope to have the survey completed in time for the corridor’s Workforce Summitt to be held May 2nd.
