November 23, 2014

(Hartley)– A six-month investigation has landed two people in jail on drug charges.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says two search warrants were executed Monday at 51 first street in Hartley. They resulted in the arrest of 22-year-old Pablo Lopez Rodriquez of Hartley…who was arrested by police in Worthington, Minnesota for delivering drugs there and in Hartley.

Also arrested was 31-year-old Douglas Wayne Nielsen. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia following a search of his residence at 241 north Central Avenue in Hartley. A male juvenile at the residence was also arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office has been working on the investigation with the Worthington Police Department. They were assisted in the searches by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and the Hartley, Sanborn and Spencer Police Departments.

Authorities say their investigation continues and additional arrests are likely.
