(Primghar)– A search warrant executed on a residence near Primghar Monday has resulted in drug charges being filed against two men.
With assistance from the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, O’Brien county authorities conducted the search…resulting in the arrest of 55-year-old Lawrence J. Hopcroft Junior. He was charged with manufacturing a controlled substance, marijuana; a drug tax stamp violation and prohibited acts.
Also arrested was 26-year-old Lawrence J. Hopcroft the third. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, marijuana.
Both men were booked into the O’Brien county jail. Lawrence Hopcroft the third has posted bond and was released pending court appearances. Lawrence Hopcroft Junior remains in jail on bond of two thousand dollars.
Authorities say a large quantity of marijuana was seized in the search. They believe it was cultivated and harvested on the property.
An investigation continues and O’Brien county authorities say more arrests are likely.
