(Estherville)– An Estherville man faces drug charges following the search of his residence over the weekend.
Estherville police say they obtained a search warrant for apartment #210 in the Gardston building at Four North Seventh Street in Estherville while investigating a report of illegal drug activity.
Upon executing the warrant shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday, police found more than 14 ounces of what’s alleged to be marijuana along with 2,500-dollars in cash and drug paraphernalia.
Officers arrested 23-year-old Tyrell Howard of Estherville at the scene. He was charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, marijuana, with intent to deliver; and one count of a drug tax stamp violation. Both are class “D” felonies. Howard was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
He was booked into the Emmet county jail on a 15-thousand dollar cash or surety bond.
