(Spirit Lake)– Fate prevented a Spirit Lake native from being on one of those hijacked airplanes that crashed Tuesday.
Linda Shriver Lennox is a flight attendant for United Airlines based out of Newark, New Jersey.
Arlene Reed of Spirit Lake is Lennox’s grandmother. She tells KUOO news her granddaughter is alive because of a scheduling fluke.
Reed says Lennox regularly alternated between a London route and flight 97 that went down. But this time it was her turn to go on the overseas flight.
