(Undated)– Several rural water projects in northwest Iowa have been awarded federal funding.
Clay Regional Water will be getting a loan of 3.4 million dollars and a grant of nearly two million to extend water lines to Buena Vista county. The project will include a water tower and booster station to serve about 568 people.
The Lyon and Sioux Rural Water System will get a loan of 1.28 million and a grant of 850-thousand dollars to improve a treatment plant, build additional wells and to increase capacity of mains.
And the Southern Sioux County Rural Water System will receive a two million dollar loan and a 300-thousand dollar grant to build a storage reservoir and pumping station to enhance delivery to users in southeastern Sioux county.
