(Royal)– A single vehicle crash Friday near Royal has claimed the life of a Royal woman.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says 74-year-old Mary Lee Christensen of Royal was southbound on a county road when the 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee she was driving crossed the center line and went into the east ditch where it rolled, ejecting Christensen. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Royal Fire Department, the Iowa State Patrol and paramedics from Spencer Hospital.
