(Sioux City)– A Ringsted man has been sentenced in federal court on a firearms charge.
34-year-old Rodney Jerald Doty was sentenced to 30 days continuous jail time and three years supervised release.
Doty pleaded guilty previously to a count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
He was arrested by the Emmet county sheriff’s office and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms on charges stemming from November 25th of last year. He was arrested after officers found him hunting with a Marlin Glenfield .22 caliber bolt-action rifle and ammunition.
